Bas Lem

Bas Lem specialises in commercial litigation. He advises international and domestic clients in commercial disputes and acts as counsel both in regular court and in (international) arbitration proceedings. Bas has experience in general commercial litigation, as well as in financial litigation and in post M&A disputes.

In 2017, Bas won the annual Rotterdam pleading competition and in 2018, he won the annual national pleading competition.

Bas studied Dutch law at the Radboud University in Nijmegen.

Bas has registered the principal (and secondary) legal practice areas Civil Procedural Law and Litigation in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister).

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
